   My Mac Podcast (Guy Goes to College) : Guy: So now that you have shelled out an arm and a leg on new apps and other goodies for your son’s new life of Drinking and Debauchery for the next 4 years. I have a few questions on why you chose certain purchases and not others.

   1. You left your old 320 gig Hard Drive in the Laptop. (As a computer guy I NEVER, EVER Do this!!! The price of a newer Faster/Larger hard drive is always a better option. You never have to worry about lost data or the older drive crashing in six months do to heavy use or storage. A new 750 gig drive is on NewEgg for $105.)

   2. You bought a copy of MS Office. (You might not know this but our Dept that we both work for has a deal with Microsoft to purchase 1 to 2 pieces of software every couple of years for only $10. You get a DVD in a black and white DVD Case and no manuals no nothing. Just the DVD and the install Code Number. And yes they have MS Office for Mac.)

   I hope that Guy appreciates all the hard work you have done for him and rewards you with straight A’s and not showing up in 6 months with 3 D’s 1 C and a hangover.
