Powerocks Magic Cube Universal 6000mAh Extended Battery – Review

Our inventory of battery operated, USB charged, personal devices grows longer and longer. This situation translates into a greater likelihood of finding one of these running out of power at a critical moment. This could prevent you from keeping the kids entertained on a long trip or from getting that message from your spouse to pick up a gallon of milk on the way home from work.

Macally WIFISD, IOGEAR MediaShair, Kanex meDrive – Nemo Memo Comparison

How low can you go? Does it make sense to save money and purchase a low-capacity iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch, then extend its capacity using a wireless remote storage solution? With fast and cheap flash drives and USB external drives available, is it preferable to be thrifty when buying iOS hardware, and extravagant when considering the new types of remote and wireless personal file servers that are being released monthly?

Quirky Crossover iPhone 5 Case – Review

As a rabid fan of wallet cases, I was delighted to review the Quirky Crossover iPhone 5 case.  The case protects the iPhone and allows a few credit or business cards to be stored under the intersecting straps. Quirky offers 12 colors, allowing the buyer to select the color combination for the two straps. The gray and orange straps of my review case were a lovely choice. The top strap has a hole for the camera lens. The bottom strap has a hole for the power button at the top and earbud at the bottom.

Distant Suns (max) – IOS App Review

As an amateur astronomer and a volunteer telescope operator at the Flandrau Science Center observatory, I enjoy sharing the night sky with the public. My primary objective, when inviting the public to look through the telescope, is to encourage them to enjoy viewing the heavens and to ask questions. I recognize that not everyone wants to be an astronomer and I certainly understand the magnitude of what is required to pursue a career in this profession.

Sydnee Charging Station – Review

Chargers for all of our various iDevices are a necessary evil. One is in the kitchen but it’s for the iPad, another is in the bedroom but it’s only for the iPhone. Then there’s a charger in the den but it’s already in use by another family member. Frustrating.

More and more people are using their phones as their GPS devices. It’s difficult – and in many places, illegal to use your phone while driving. The best solution is to mount your phone on the windshield where it’s easy to see and hear your route directions. The Traveler by Insanely Great Products fits the bill nicely.

CamCard – Review

I had a problem and CamCard was the solution. My problem was that I had collected a large handful of business cards at Macworld that I wanted to keep on file, but I didn’t want to keep the cards lying around gathering dust. I also didn’t want to enter them into my usual Address Book and mix them in with more personal contacts. CamCard gave me a really quick and easy way to capture the cards and their info, and clear off my desk.
