ThinkTank Airport International LE Classic Pro Roller – Review

When shopping for a camera bag, it’s important to give some thought to how you’ll use it. Just as you don’t need a $5,000 Nikon DSLR to take good pictures of your nephew’s birthday party, neither do you need a $400 rolling camera suitcase if you’re just traveling short distances and not carrying a pile of gear.

Domke Next Generation Director Camera Bag – Review

Photographers are so focused on the hardware and the image that the importance of a camera bag to transport and protect this costly and delicate the gear can be overlooked. Domke has these objectives squarely in its sights. My first impression of this bag was that it can withstand being dragged for several kilometers across the Serengeti tied to the bumper of your Land Rover. The Domke Next Generation Director is a tough little bag with many good features and few flaws.

Self Standing Black iPad 4 Case – Review

The case is easy to install on your iPad and is also compatible with the iPad 2 and the iPad 3 (aka the New iPad). You slide your iPad into the pocket and flip the tab on its back to secure it inside the case. The case has holes where it is necessary to access buttons and ports on the iPad. But overall I find it unsatisfactory.

Commuter Series Case for iPhone 6 – Review

Apple’s iPhone 6 is a beautiful piece of design and function. Thinner than previous iPhone models, larger in size, it just seems to fit one’s hand perfectly. However, that thinness and the iPhones material seem to make it something that does seem to move by itself at times, especially out of the users hand if they forget that they are carrying it around. Add to that the tendency of most people to simply slide it into ones pants pocket and you might have a recipe for messing up ones brand new iPhone.

ThinkTank Airport Roller Derby – Review

There are several rolling suitcase-like camera packs on the market, but I’ve yet to see one that can match the Airport Roller Derby for smoothness and durability. The pack is slim enough to roll through the aisle in an airplane and will easily fit into most overhead compartments. Unlike a similar ThinkTank product I reviewed about 18 months ago, this one comes with four dual wheel sets instead of single wheels. These wheels are so responsive you can move this pack, fully loaded, with one finger.

PhotoProX iPhone 5/5S case with lenses – Review

The PhotoProX is a rugged, waterproof case for the iPhone 5 and 5S that accommodates four included lenses. The case is designed for the outdoors and is built to withstand serious abuse it can even be used for underwater photography. Your iPhone fits into a plastic sled which, in turn, slides into the clear plastic case. The top door, where the phone slides in, has a tight-fitting gasket and a strong latch. There is also a bottom door that permits access to the 3.5mm audio jack, the Lightning charging port, and the phones mic and speaker. This little door snaps shut with effort and is very difficult to open due to the necessary waterproofing gasket.
