David Ellefson Rock Shop App – Review

Rock Shop is a universal app that works with any iPad, iPhone (4 or 4s), or iPod Touch (4th gen or later) running iOS 4.3 or later. To use the app, you need to have a way to connect your guitar to your iOS device. Pocketlabworks, Inc. would like you to purchase their $99.99 iRiffPort adapter, which allows you to connect your guitar’s cable to a splitter that connects to the 30-pin port on your iOS device. I use IKMultimedia’s iRig adapter when connecting my guitar to my iPad. At $39.99, it’s an option for those for whom price is a bigger consideration.

Sandvox 2.5 – Review

First, for those that don’t know what Sandvox is, it is a website editor in the WYSIWYG category and builds your site in HTML5. I would include iWeb, Rapidweaver, and others in this category. Out of the two, it is probably most like iWeb, which has been my software choice for my website since it came out (iWeb, not my website). However, iWeb is not longer being developed by Apple and it is time to find a new editor for my website.

Lost Little Zombie – iPhone Game Review

Little Lost Zombie is the type of game that will turn you into a zombie. That is not necessarily a bad thing. We all like to zone out from reality, and a game that is simple in approach but challenging is always a good way to spend those few minutes of our spare time.

Adobe Photoshop Touch – Review

Many photographers, myself included, have been patiently waiting for Adobe to develop a powerful photo-editing app for the iPad to compare with Photoshop. Adobe launched Photoshop Touch last year for the Android platform and Photoshop Touch is now available for the iPad. It is compatible with the iPad 2 and New iPad but the iPad 1 is not supported. As an image editor Adobe included several terrific features gleaned from Photoshop that are not currently found in other photo-editing apps.
