Can you believe the show is under an hour? We sure couldn’t. LOTS of listener feedback, a contest, and a debate on whether or not we should set up a Patreon link for those that might want to contribute to the madness.

Gaz is off watching cars race that DON’T belong to NASCAR (the HORROR!) but Karl Madden comes on to talk about the future of various Apple products and lots of tangents that Guy went off on (because that’s what he does). You can find Karls probably more rational podcast Mac and Forth here.

Gaz and Guy talk about different cloud options for you and at the end you’ll COMPLETELY understand how the cloud works and certainly know what service you want, ‘sha right!

Just like we didn’t talk about the World Cup last week, the GMen don’t talk about Amazon’s Fire phone this week. Which means they did but not much. They do talk about the new iMac and what that might mean going forward for the Mac and get lost in old Podcast art – eventually.

Neither Guy nor Gaz talk about the World Cup or soccer except for where they do. Skype as usual acts up in each segment of this week’s show, but that doesn’t stop Gaz and Guy from their usual hijinks. Greg Holdsworth is bringing back his podcast, Your Own Victory Garden after a nearly 4 year absence! Why did he stop? What will the new show be like? You’re going to have to listen to find out.

We get caught up on Guy’s adventure buying a car in Florida and how Gaz gets his iTunes for cheaps! The GMen go over some of what they thought was great from WWDC and then realize they forgot to mention a whole bunch of other things that they SAID they’ll get back to but probably wont. Gazs language skills takes a horrible beating with Swahili and so much more!

Guy is off doing weird Guy things like buying a car in Florida so Gaz trick invites Alex Fox on to the show. Lot’s of Google Plus and other listener feedback along with a good discussion on Amazon’s little tiff with Hachette Press. A bit of talk about Alex’s Mac experiences and generally everything you’ve come to expect from a MyMac Podcast!

We have another guest this week as Allister Jenks joins in to talk about all kinds of stuff and all three go into what THEY think are stupid apps. Even bad Skype delay couldn’t deter them.

James Turner joins the GMen in a rollicking show that quickly and somewhat willfully gets completely out of control practically from the very start. Gaz has problems with a Time Machine, Guy has a blank screen, and James is questioning his life choice of coming on to podcasts with weirdos. OH and there was some useful bit and hard drives.

Rough week for Guy but he did manage to soup up his son Peters new (or old rather) laptop with more memory and an SSD drive. Gaz has apps just made for walking and that’s just what they’ll do. The GMen discuss the Beats maybe deal and what Apple could or should buy instead. The whole Dusty story is at the very end so if you don’t want to hear it (its rather sad) then just stop after the closing theme.

No show last week because Guy can’t stop messing around with the sound of the show and managed to muck it up beyond all repair. The show this week takes all the things you missed us say last week and puts them here. So it’s like it never happened (waving arms mystically). We record all your bumpers from the contest and thanks again to everyone who participated. Then we just have fun. Same GMen time! Same GMen channel!

Back to a regularly scheduled kind of show. Apple’s Home Sharing works great except when it doesn’t and Guy is more hopeful about his sound quality this week. We finally announce the winners of the Bumper contest (see below) and is Apple’s CarPlay hardware the next big thing that Apple doesn’t actually make?

No Gaz this week as he gets his revenge on Guy for being gone for MacWorld. Or something like though it may actually just be spending time with the family someplace fun and not about Guy at all. Speaking of run on sentences, Owen joins Guy and they talk about Macworld (though in no great detail) in a very informative and revealing (where we find out why Guy is Gus and Owen is Opie! How exciting is that!). STILL no end to the podcast contest (next for maybe sure!) and lots of some of the interviews done by the MyMac Staff at some Expo or something.

You’ve waited, and waited, and waited some more for the 500th podcast and it’s finally here! No app picks or much about the Macworld Expo this week or stuff from Google + or Twitter. Gaz and Guy talk a little about playing with organs (the musical kind) on iPads and then things get REALLY interesting when we get all the former hosts together into one virtual room. Naturally they talk a lot about the history of the podcast and a lot of it will make you laugh. Stand by for action!

Second day of Macworld but the last day for us all being together. Join Guy, Vicki, Elisa Mark, Eric, and Owen as they yammer a lot about things mostly related to some kind of Tech event, maybe. Then Guy talks to the Jupiter crew at OWC about spaceships and massive storage, and a bunch of interviews we did on the Expo floor.

It’s day 1 so the gang is in full swing covering the Expo. We complain about hotel WiFi, Guy’s problem remembering things that prevent him from actually doing work, and we talk about some of the developers we saw. Another conversation with Larry from OWC and floor show interviews! It’s just like being here except without the long flight and bad food!

Guy is joined by Elisa Pacelli, Vicky Stokes, and Curt Blanchard at the pre show press event the night before the Expo actually opens. We’re all psyched up about being here which will most likely give way to tirred feet and backs before too much longer, but enjoy us now before we get all jaded and stuff.

With this being show 499, you’d think the next one would be 500…or the one after that…nope. This IS however the last Gaz and Guy show before the Macworld Expo so get ready for fun. Guy has problems with multiple Apple IDs and has to go to Apple Support to get them fixed, Gaz has problems with Rugby, his Mac, and Airports, but it may have all been in hs head. Guy talks about the long journey ahead and Gaz tries in vain yet again to explain English money.

Just two to five or more episodes until the 500th show! Can you feel the excitement in the air? If you can you should most likely go see a doctor since solid emotions in your nostrils is probably not a good thing. A certain groups proposal (number 9, number 9,number 9,) seemed to really hack off Tim Cook at the last shareholders meeting, so Guy has a little chat with the founder of the NCPPR, Amy Ridenour to ask her about it. Please check the links below for the proposal itself and another to Ms. Ridenours blog about the incident. Gaz is looking for some better way to keep an iOS device on him to keep track of how much exercise he does and also a way to mount one in the kitchen. If only he could combine the two

The SSL Exploit for both the Mac and iOS is absolutely nothing to worry about unless you don’t live in a cave, have a Mac newer than a PowerPC, or use the internet. Do or have any of that and you should probably be going for those updates. Gaz is doing a lot of traveling, but it’s Guy’s Maps program that seems to be stopping progress. All this and more this week on the MyMac Podcast.
