Giving Thanks

First and foremost, I am thankful for Kellogg’s All Bran Cereal, because when one reaches a certain age regularity becomes a bit more iffy without that daily bowl of fiber.

I am thankful that my kids have in-laws, who have graciously invited them to spend Thanksgiving at their house, so I was not stuck in the damn kitchen all day making a damn turkey which I don’t like anyway.

I am thankful for the internet, especially the bloggers who amuse and inflame me.

I am thankful for public libraries.

I am thankful that Lance Armstrong learned to ride a bike, and that OLNtv showed the highlights of the 2004 Tour de France all day today.

I am thankful that I live only three miles from work.

I am thankful that dogs were domesticated.

I am especially thankful for four days off in a row.
