Thule Atmos X3 for iPad Air 2 – Review

A few months ago, I learned that Thule, a company I always knew for cycling gear, makes iPhone and iPad cases. I ordered a case for my iPhone 6 and loved it. When I decided to get an iPhone SE, I didn’t have to think hard about a case — it was a Thule Atmos. It has become my number one iPhone case. Based on my iPhone experience, I was very excited for the opportunity to review the Thule Atmos X3 for iPad Air 2.

Uncaged Ergonomics CHANGEdesk – Review

To stand or to sit, that is the question. Most office furniture allows you to do one or the other but not both. Uncaged Ergonomics thinks you have a choice so they’ve come up with the CHANGEdesk. So there’s Rugby, Broadway shows, messed up MyMac articles, and iTunes rants. That’s just in the first section. The GMen then go on talk about Macs and if there’s the slightest chance of the platform moving to ARM processors. PHEW, I’m exhausted just writing it down.

Looty Dungeon – Review

Looty Dungeon takes its visual cue from the 8-bit retro craze that seems to be infecting the App Store over the last few years. (I think Minecraft is to blame, but I don’t know for sure.) Many games that use 8-bit retro graphics are not much to play, and the look and feel is really the only draw. Not so with Looty Dungeon. This is a fun, pick-up-and-play game that will probably have you coming back time after time to get some more in-game coins so that you can buy another character.

MyMac Podcast 601: The Whole sort of General Mishmash

The GMen take the lazy way out and instead of having one topic to focus on, kinda jump around to talk about odd bits and pieces. Guy talks a lot about cats (as if the show graphic wasn’t enough of a clue) and rowing while Gaz is busy actually with tech. They wrap up the whole FBI vs Apple case, Apple’s increasing market share in an otherwise down industry, Safari now has a silver medal, and don’t click hacked links. Because, just don’t.

PlusUS LifeCard slim portable battery – Review

The LifeCard is a slim, stainless steel power supply that will recharge most of a Smart Phone’s battery quickly. It’s thicker and heavier than a credit card, contrary to what the advertising says. It is skinny and will indeed fit in a wallet but it’s not as unobtrusive as an ordinary credit card. Considering the price, it’s also light on capacity.
