Three Questions for Qupertino

Three Sets of Questions for Qupertino and for MyMac.com readers from the “Uncyclopedia of Macintosh Ignorama”

1 = iTunes: How many weekly downloads take place of the free songs offered at Apple’s iTunes Music Store? Are these freebies counted in the grand totals of gazillions of songs, when Apple publishes the stats? How often do people then purchase additional tracks by the “free” artists? How many people actually know they can obtain one free song every week? What compensation do the musicians and recording companies receive when Apple gives away their songs?

2 = Software Updates: How are OS X users without broadband Internet connections supposed to obtain software updates? Does Apple provide an alternative opportunity for these loyal customers? What is the potential liability or problem if people don’t download and install all the numerous, frequent OS and application updates? Are Apple retail stores prepared to assist people who need updates, when the computer is carried into a retail location? How about CompUSA and other third-party resellers?

3 = Keyboard “Shortcut” Commands: Why do so few people learn and use the basic keyboard commands to make their computing experience much more efficient? Why do so few intermediate users never bother to go beyond the basics with keyboard shortcuts?

I welcome your responses, flames, and words of wisdom.
