Things I’m Thankful for…

I am thankful that I am well beyond the age where I’d have aunts who squeeze me on the face and tell me, in exasperated tones, how big I’m getting. Likewise, I am thankful that I no longer have weird uncles who rub me vigorously on the head, and want to wrestle.

I’m thankful that Sarah Brightman was but upon this planet. (Men will understand this.)

I’m thankful that Massachusetts Attorney General Thomas Reilley (spelling?) looked Walmart right in the eye and told them ‘No, you may not open on Thanksgiving day’.

I’m thankful for Apple Computer Inc, and all the talented, smart people who work there, who give us such cool technologies.

I’m thankful for Microsoft and the Windows operating system. No really, I am. Every time I spend the better part of a day working with Windows, It makes me appreciate the Mac OS all the more.

I’m thankful for The Three stooges. (Men will understand this one too.)

I’m thankful for George Carlin, probably the funniest man on the planet.

I’m thankful for Calvin and Hobbes.

I’m thankful that I have a ‘reasonably secure’ job with a benefits package. In the technology business, that is becoming more rare every day. But there’s always next year,,,,,

I’m thankful that I have a New Balance factory outlet store close to where I live.

I’m thankful for DVD technology.

I’m thankful that the bosses at Fox home video released all three seasons of ‘Millennium’ on DVD. Now, if only the bosses at Warner Bros. would solve the legal issues and get ‘Bladerunner’ re-mastered and released to use eager fans…

I’m thankful for some of the great writers of the past and present. My list includes, but is not limited to, George Orwell, Philip K. Dick, Harlan Ellison, Dan Brown, Joseph Conrad, H.G. Wells, Aldous Huxley, Stephen King, and Jules Verne.

And I am Thankful to everyone here at Mymac.
