So little to do, So much time…

My wife is convinced everything I say is either a lie or wrong. I’m pretty sure this is the natural order of marriage. So when I returned from a long upstream Smokies hike complaining of ruptured tendons, slipped discs, torn ACLs, and general weariness she thought I was milking it. “No way!” said I (whilst milking it) “We climbed huge boulders! Sure they started out smallish, German Shepard sized, but by the time we headed to the trail they were freakin’ huge! Bigger than Chevy Chase’s ego!” She didn’t believe me. So I stole all the blankets in bed last night.. right after I turned the AC to 50F.

Today Todd sent me photographic evidence:

Yep, that’s me scaling a boulder. Todd’s giggling behind the camera.

Todd got this nice posting from the trip:

I argued vociferously that it was a wasp of some sort, capable of a deadly sting. Todd thought not (he knows this stuff) and asked me to hold it on a stick. I did for a moment, the stick was perhaps two feet long, but I didn’t want to let the (in my mind) deadly bastard anywhere near me so I dropped the stick when the thing got to the end and headed back towards stingable flesh. Sure it sounds real wussy, like a baseball injury, but I didn’t want to be the headline that said “Stupid Man Killed by Rare Blue Wasp”

In other news: SmartSound has released version 3.2of SonicFire Pro. It’s an excellent program, far superior to Garageband. If you’re on a budget Movie Maestro is a cheap version superior to the aforementioned Garageband. Well, they’re superior to Garageband for scoring movies, perhaps for digital music creation the race is closer.

The printing obsessed Stephen Becker (all that unnecessary printing really irks Stephen) of MacEase has released Print it!. I was a beta tester and Iiked the program, the rub is I print absolutely nothing. Download the demo, buy the program. You’ll save money. Or you would if you print stuff..which I don’t…ever.

I’ve watched this little movie, Redeemer 2:Madness Combat, over and over, so much senseless violence quenched my thirst for a Quentin Taratino movie.

TV pick: Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story. Sure I’d rather watch the Last Dragon II: Revenge of Sho ‘Nuff but as Todd pointed out: that sequel doesn’t exist. Still Dragon is a pretty decent movie, you won’t waste your time by watching if you haven’t seen it.

Game Pick: Bruce Lee: Tower of Death

Tridiot Rating: Hmm, I thought I had an early pentium chugging away on this. Closer inspection reveals the dedicated computer is actually a Timex Sinclair with a membrane keyboard. The result:

GAH! BAD MATH!
