Scrambled Blog

For some reason I’ve been receiving an inordinate amount of Fake Rolex Watch spam lately. Naturally, this raised my paranoia level, and rightly so. Seems that Interpol has a warning out that Fake Watches Fund Terror!

I had the opportunity to be in Las Vegas recently for a trade show. I stopped at the Big and Tall Men’s store to buy my husband a pair of trousers. The salesman was maybe 5’2″ tall and looked like he could tread water in a garden hose. I guess the Big and Tall shop is an equal opportunity employer.

October 26 is Del Miller’s birthday. Go wish him a happy one.

About taxes. I always have to laugh a little when presidential candidates talk about tax cuts, because just about the only thing a person can do anymore without being taxed is breathe. There is property tax, tax on food, tax on gasoline, really high tax on cigarettes and booze, the tax one pays each year to register the car, sales tax on material goods, resort tax when staying in a hotel or motel, tax on your telephone bill, your electric bill, your sewer bill, your garbage bill, your gas bill and your water bill. Hell, you can’t roll out of bed without paying tax. So I guess I’m not real impressed when presidential candidates suggest ways they are going to reduce my income tax by a hundred bucks or so per year.

October 27 is my third, second wedding anniversary. Yes, you read that right. November 2 is my fourth, first wedding anniversary. And November 24 is my third, third wedding anniversary. My husband and I got married three times. Here’s the story of our first, first wedding.

Scrambled blog, I know. We had a family crisis that lasted from October 4 through October 24, so my brain is still a bit scrambled. All is well now, but there were some very rough emotional patches this past month. I once knew a guy who, when quoted the platitude that All Life Is A Lesson replied, “Yeah? Well, I didn’t sign up for THIS %&#@&^@ course.”

Seems like a good time to revive the CKS/bl Hello Kitty Tridiot Rating. This one comes in at a meowley 111.59%
