Random Thoughts, for a Random Blog..

Between the seemingly endless snow, the bone-shattering cold, and everything else that goes along with winter in New England, I have nothing better to do than post some ‘random thoughts, for a random blog’. To Wit:

Okay, Nicole Richie is cuter than her buddy, Paris Hilton. But, I’m afraid neither one does much for me. Hope they enjoy their fifteen minutes.

The most beautiful woman on the planet: Sarah Brightman. No further discussion is needed.

I see they still make that technological wonder of engineering, ‘The Clapper’. Somewhere, there are some folks living in trailer parks who are very happy with this news.

And they still make ‘British Sterling’? Uh, does anyone know any guy who actually uses British Sterling?

I wonder how many people will actually make good on their statement that they’re going to leave the United States, over Dubya’s re-election? (Not that I’m very thrilled about it.) Think Canada is far enough? It’s kick-ass cold in Canada folks. Suggestion to those really considering the move: Go stand on the upper level of Boston’s Mystic River bridge tonight, at about midnight, when the wind is peaking. Stay there for about fifteen minutes. Then decide if you really, truly, want to live in Canada.

My new theory: In any shopping mall parking lot, the average I.Q. decreases in direct relation to the decreasing distance of any given parking space from the door to the mall. So, park a good distance from the door. Enjoy a nice walk, and avoid the real idiots.

’24’ is back! Cause to celebrate. One of the only network television shows worth watching.

Is DVD technology great or what? Now, if all the parties who control ownership of ‘Bladerunner’ could iron out their problems, and get us that re-mastered Bladerunner DVD set we’ve all been waiting for, for so long. This movie is truly deserving of the title, ‘Masterpiece’. (There are rumors about a release, ‘sometime in 2005’ If anyone knows anything solid, please share it.)

Has anyone noticed that Comp USA is selling less computer stuff, and more home entertainment stuff? Sign of the times I guess.

Some cool expressions that are now part of American language, thanks to Jerry Seinfeld: ‘Yadda-Yadda’, ‘No soup for you’, and ‘Re-gift’. I’m comfortable with this. He’s a funny guy. (‘He has the Kavorka!’)

Anyone get re-gifted this year? Did you re-gift anyone?

The ‘Chia Pet’: Why? Talk about the perfect thing for Re-gifting…

Ever wonder if we are all really in the Matrix?

Scott Adams is a genius. He has life in high tech land right down to a science.

Speaking of comic strips, I miss Robotman. ‘Monty’, by himself, just isn’t working for me. Sorry Jim Meddick, I know you do what you have to do, but I really miss Robotman.

And that is what is on my mind today. Pretty sad, isn’t it?
