Haven’t posted much lately, just a little too lazy I suppose. Or maybe I’ve been busy. Unfortunately I’m not sure, see I have this condition.

Where was I? A small gag movie Todd and I made went a little viral over the weekend, I’d say 98.6000003 F. I had submitted it to DJspoof, he passed but then it showed up on alldumb and muchosucko. It may have made showings elsewhere but those sites are the ones I visit looking for the odd. (Strange that I go out out of the way looking for the odd stuff when truly disturbing things are a mere phone call away).

I dutifully read all the comments. They ranged from (paraphrasing) “kinda amusing” to “Man, that’s some bad acting.” I remember filming on that windy day and I recall Todd saying: “It’s all yours, whatever you want to do.” Since I was pretty firmly in control I’m gonna to take full responsibility at this point and say the horrible acting was all Todd’s fault. Or possibly Tim’s, he picked the music after all. It certainly wasn’t my fault, reviewing the film the range of emotions crossing my face are clearly oscar worthy. I packed so much into so little I wonder why JD hasn’t called for some advice.

When I was discussing this with Todd last night he said: “It’s embarrassing” Which means I’ll probably never get to make another movie again, the only person willing to help has finally been abducted by boodles the vulture and now values dignity over badly done attempts at hilarity. Oh well.

Ah, Bruce was complaining about folks throwing bottles at bike riders, in one of my ill advised video reviews Todd and I filmed just such an occurence. Bruce did bring up one excellent point in his last entry that I feel the need to comment on: Bicyclists following traffic laws. I’ve got a couple bikes (specialized MB and Cannondale road bike) and on the rare days I get to ride I always follow the traffic laws. Yep, I stop at stop signs, don’t do the right turn then cut across the road deal, etc, etc. Why? It’s hard to ask other folks to obey the rules when you’re not.

One more thing. Vern, a registered mymac guy, has put up a website. What’s interesting about this? It turns out Vern is an excellent furniture maker. Woodworking is one of those things that everyone thinks they are an expert at, you know the drill: something people will get a garage full of tools to build something they could’ve have bought for fifty bucks. Then whatever they built pretty much sucks but they’ll dispense advice like crazy. So you never really know if the guy passing out advice is a hack (99.9% of the time) or really knows his stuff. Check Vern’s website and you can tell he knows his stuff. And nope, the prices aren’t high.

Well that’s enough Chris Seibold to last a lifetime. Let’s face it: people purposely scroll past the stuff I write to get to the links I post. Well at least I do, Todd does, the wife does. In fact the other day I saw Nate mashing the space bar to get past my opinions so he could read the tridiot rating.

TV pick: Frontline 9 PM est. I’m not sure if Todd can watch Frontline, Todd doesn’t have cable. If Todd did have cable he’d probably watch Frontline.
