Further proof that the people running airport security are friggin idiots

That’s right, someone found…

….a cell phone.

Argue all you want about civil rights, liberty vs. absolute safety, and where to put the blame…but in the end this is just further proof that airline security is being run by stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid people. I don’t care about philosophical debates, I just want to know when these stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid people are going to be replaced with other people who have two brain cells to rub together.

For those of you who said “oh, it’s only temporary,” well guess what? With people this stupid in charge, it’s only going to get worse. They’re only going to find ways to make flying a progressively stupider experience. They took a plane back to the airport in mid-flight because there was a friggin CELL PHONE on board. This will get worse before it gets better.

And for those of you who said “oh, but it’s only in the UK,” let’s just all pray that this kind of stupidity isn’t contagious. But unfortunately, I think we all know better.
