Custom Desk?

This weekend I’m planning on heading to the Home Depot and buying the materials to make, nay SCULPT, a custom computer desk. I’m going all out on this baby, there’s a good chance I’ll use a router AND a jig saw (if I need glue, it’s gonna be Gorilla glue). What can I say? I like to do home projects. Got any tips?
Budget: 500 bucks and a pinky finger.

I also plan to rope Todd into helping, filming the whole mess (well.. I hope to at least grab the part where I cut off a finger) distilling it down and posting it here at mymac. Why? Who would want to see that kind of tripe? Probably nobody. But maybe, just maybe there’s an untapped market for watching lazy people. See all the fix it shows have people running around like mad working, they seem to believe that if they don’t get it done an asteroid is gonna smack into New York City. Heck, I KNOW my project ranks right up there with installing linux on a dead badger so I’m not going to go crazy or anything.

Speaking of lazy people, yeah I know every time you see a stay at home Dad (me) you think we’re tanking it. You think work would be far harder than taking care of a kid. You’re wrong. Work is way easier. On the other hand a job isn’t nearly as rewarding. Mostly cause you can sell a healthy kid over and over on ebay.

When I feel nostalgic I always remember video games. Well video games and Cathleen Rickles. But mostly video games. High School is a dim blur of Tunnel Hunt and college (the first time) was all Rolling Thunder and Shinobi. College the second time was chock full of SuperNES. Anyway I found this game that was vaguely similiar to Shinobi..without spending the laundry money.
