Going on an easter egg hunt tomorrow, very exciting. My vision isn’t perfect and my attention to detail is lacking BUT my competitor is only eighteen months old. I figure I stand a pretty good shot at winning.

But I’ll probably get way behing early in the race so I’ll up filming Nathaniel’s victory. It will be handheld filming and while GL2 has a really great optical image stabilization system it would be much better if I had a steadicam jr or if I had found this (build your own steadicam for fourteen bucks) a week ago. Not that I would have built the thing yet but at least I would have known I could have built it. And knowing is half the battle.
Out of all the strange, odd, funny, viral flash animations/movies I’ve stumbled over on the internet I think Ja Da is my favorite. Why? I don’t know. I can’t think of a way to make it any worse OR any better and that’s gotta count for something.
Interesting article: Sure slipping the maitre d’ a c-note at the restaurants I eat at wouldn’t do any good (well I might get a free whopper) it works in New York City. So says James Beard in the very entertaining Pocketful of Dough.
In terrible, awful news: The tridiot formula has been CRACKED. I spent several minutes developing this formula and it’s complicated. Contained within the formula are several higher math functions such as addition and subtraction…and kronecker delta (gotta have Kronecker). Years ago I began to use the formula to measure just how much everything I did sucked, recently I started running my blogs through the complicated formula (.7 alpha inflections for a schwa e) and posting the results. I jealously guarded my formula, sure people would ask “Hey can you give me a tridiot rating?” and I’d say “Yep, but I won’t” Somehow
Beth Lock
derived the formula. Which is bad enough but her recent entry exceeded the theoretical maximum (129%) which means there’s a flaw somewhere in my calculations and that’s bad math on my part. Perhaps it’s the value of c (I should have used error bars).
CKS tridiot rating: 119.3614%
