Not much to talk about, but I like it when dates do things like this, this 20th of April, the 04th month of the year of our Lord 2004.
You can write it 20/04/2004, or a bunch of other ways, including the way that is expected in business, but this day of 2004 2004 is turning out to be a nice one.
House is clean and (almost) remodled after my wife’s yearly Spring Cleaning. While we were at it, I rebuilt my office. Somehow this room is the same size but it looks much bigger now. It is actually a comfortable place to be. Strange how moving a few things and changing very little can make such a difference.
Grandkids coming next week. Some I have never seen. All little girls, who are going to love their very young grandpa. Funny how my kids keep getting older but I don’t. They are almost my age now.
Item of note: Chronotypes – which are you?
“The idea that society will one day split into Morlocks who shun the light and Eloi who like to bask in it, popularised by H G Wells in The Time Machine, may not be so far off the mark. At a discussion of the social implications of our 24/7 society, held at the Science Museum’s Dana Centre tomorrow, Prof Till Roenneberg of Ludwig Maximilians University, Munich, will describe how he has discovered that people have a “chronotype” which influences their health and profession.”
—Roger Highfield, “Researchers shed some light on owls and larks of the workplace,” The Daily Telegraph, March 29, 2004
“Chronotype — also known as the circadian type — is an aspect of chronobiology, the study of temporal or cyclical phenomena in the natural world. According to circadian rhythm researchers, we each have degrees of morningness and eveningness in our biological clocks. About 20% of the population falls into evening or morning persons, whle the rest of us are indifferent to this.” –Wordspy.com
If you’d like to find out where you fit on the chronotype spectrum, take the following test:
