So the Macworld Expo ends for another year. Guy couldn’t find Julie Kuehl to podcast with so he did a short solo show in the press room. While we wish the fun times could go on forever, we’re all too tired to go another day.

For years I was envious of everyone who was able to attend Macworld. It’s The Promised Land, the Mecca for Apple and Mac geeks and enthusiasts. I never thought I’d ever be an attendee.
But I was there for Macworld 2013.
What an experience. I highly recommend everyone go at least once if at all humanly possible. If you do, you may discover vendors like the ones below.
Esoterism
When I saw the products in the Esoterism booth I knew I had to do a video interview. The cases are stylish and well-crafted. Global Sales Director Erica Hao was kind enough to give me an iPhone 4S case to review; look for that in the near future.

Elisa goes solo for this episode where she shares more interviews from Macworld/iWorld 2013. Again, please forgive the uneven audio, she’ll try to do better next time!

David Cohen is in recovery (from what, you will have to listen to the show to learn) so Tim Robertson goes solo from his hotel room using his portable podcast rig. Topics include what happened to David, CES, the White Whale, and much more. If you have not done so already, please review us on iTunes by clicking the Subscribe link above

Apple gives to Hurricane Sandy relief maybe not until it hurts, but generously. On the home front, Guy might not go to the Macworld Expo and is unable to find his Time Machine. Gaz’s Finder issues may have been solved by NOT turning off his Mac Mini. Guy’s hatred of analysts persists with every stupid they say, Samsung sells more Galaxy SIII’s than Apple sells iPhone 4S’s in a single quarter, and Foxconn may build a plant in the US…sheyeah right!

Inkjet printers are cool. In recent years, they have become very inexpensive, while at the same time, becoming high quality and very fast at printing. They come in various sizes and functions, with two to as many as eight ink cartridges needed. And therein lies the issue. Those damn ink cartridges always seem to run out of ink quickly. I will tell you about a new company, Silo Ink, that cuts the cost of ink considerably, but first, some background.
Leading up to Macworld | iWorld 2012, reviews editor for MyMac.com, John “Nemo” Nemerovski contacted me with a sole purpose.
To collaborate like never before!
I was to find out that John had ideas far grander than simply remote editing and posting of articles and photographs. I love a challenge, and to be able to watch a master like John at work and assist in anyway possible is privilege.

Tim and David discuss the hotest topic of the year: is an Eggo a Waffle? Plus, thoughts and stories from Macworld Expo, IT departments distain for Mac users, and upgrading DropBox.
(With thanks to Tony Bennett, who sang at the 2009 Macworld Expo to conclude the final Apple keynote address.)
This week’s Macworld|iWorld Expo was my tenth one, all of them for MyMac. I got a real stinker of a cold at the end of day one, Thursday, that put me on the disabled list for the duration of the 2012 conference. Nemo not happy.
Our other attending staff covered my appointments. Super thanks to them.
I was a solo act for most days of the first few years at previous Macworld January events. I ran around the enormous showroom floors in Moscone’s South and North halls like a maniac, then dashed back to the press room to submit my articles and photos. Later, after dinner with San Francisco relatives, I would stay up late planning the next day’s version of what I had just done.
Using the first-in-last-out method, I was the earliest early bird and the latest night owl in the bowels of Moscone press room every morning and night.

Guy’s audio on the floor was pretty bad (Tim has the GOOD Microphone), so Guy waited until he got home to try and clean it up. You can be the judge of how well he (or didn’t) do. These are the last five developer interviews on the Macworld Expo floor from Guy and Tim.

It’s the last day of the Macworld/ iWorld Expo and I feel like I owe you website readers an apology. I haven’t written much this trip and while I have a pretty good reason for it, it still doesn’t feel right. This was the “Take as little as possible to the Expo with just iOS devices to do everything I needed to” experiment.
As said previously, I’m going all iOS this year. That means all audio, blogging, and video editing must be done strictly with the hardware and software only available through Apple’s iOS ecosystem and nothing else.

As I’ve been moaning about for the last year on the MyMac.com Podcast, I’m not taking a Mac laptop to the Macworld Expo this year. I’ve decided to do everything on my 1st generation iPad to include audio, video, and blogging. All edited with a trusty iOS device. Oh I’ll have my iPhone 4S too to actually record the audio and video, but everything else will be done with my iPad.

It’s a week of MyMac.com Podcast tomfoolery as many of the shows switch hosts! The Pocket-Sized Podcast was fortunate enough (though that should be taken with a grain of salt) to get Gaz and Guy, the GMen from the MyMac.com Podcast to cover his duties. For some reason, Guy talked about Sharepoint a Microsoft program, while Gaz being more sensible (another grain of salt is required here) talked about his new iPhone 4S. Samsung’s Dutch patent trolling got a bit of a talking to and just why the EU thinks that carrying two cables for iOS devices is better than one baffles them both. Guy knows why most Android devices will never be updated and both GMen are a little perplexed by the change in the name of the Macworld Expo to iWorld.

Part of the letter read: “On a person note: it has been, and continues to be, a great honor for me to both know you and provide the means to share your words with the world. No one knows how long we have on this small blue and white planet of ours, but as long as I live, your words will be available to anyone who wants to see/read them. Of that, you have my word. And, as always, my friendship.”

Despite our best efforts (we really didn’t try that hard, but we like to pretend we do), this is an extra-long show. Lots of feedback from our Bumpers show and thanks to all who sent one in themselves. We go over at least 1/2 of the Macworld Expo floor. Roman Woznik comes on to talk about bigger or maybe smaller iPhones and how he prepares (tech-wise) for long trips. Lastly, Guy makes an announcement concerning some gear he just bought to solve a certain ongoing problem with the podcast. Hmmm…I wonder what that is.
