I’ve known about the iRest Lap Stand for iPad for a number of years, and I got to see it in person at Macworld/iWorld 2014. Most companies bring new products to Macworld, and Rain Designs is no exception. But the iRest is so popular with consumers that it was proudly on display next to newer items.

There are now tons of cases for the iPad that allow you to protect, carry or even type. The thing is that when all is said and done and you want to relax and read something or work on your iPad while you are reclining, not all cases allow you to do so comfortably. Review – Griffin A-Frame iPad Stand

When I shop for an easel/stand for my iPad I am looking for some very specific features:

  1. Is it sturdy?
  2. Can I use my iPad on it with a case?
  3. Are my iPad ports accessible?
  4. Is it expensive?

The Griffin A-Frame excels at this list, with the exception of price. It is a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for and this is a fantastic, and very attractive, stand for the iPad.
