It’s almost all about the new phones. Guy doesn’t necessarily want one as his 4S is still working well, but ropes his son into the equation so he (sigh) has no choice. Gaz wants one now because of the better camera but ALSO wants a new iPad Mini that he has no choice about either because his family is always (sigh) on the full sized one. What are GMen to do except just bite the bullet and (sigh) go ahead and buy new iPhones. Because they really have no choice as was reasoned above.
Guy’s Pick: Art Text by Belight software. Easy to use layer based art program. $19.99 on the Mac App Store
Gaz’s App Pick: With Spider in da house, spiders spiders are everywhere, well in the UK anyway. Download this App and help a survey
People’s Pick: No People’s Pick this week…sigh
Adobe Photoshop Touch

Requires: iOS 5 or later
Adobe is a company that you know if you’ve edited photos before. Adobe Photoshop Touch has been optimised to work with the iPad mini as well as already working with the regular iPad. Enjoying editing photos as I do I was very happy to have a look at Adobe Photoshop Touch and see what it can give to its users.

What’s Up with Apple’s iPad Announcements?
Following Apple’s recent iPad announcement, there were two big questions that most people had. First, why update the New (now old) iPad? And second, why such a high price on the iPad mini? To answer these questions, we need to take out our crystal ball and gaze into 2013.
The New New iPad
The iPad 4th generation is the iPad that Apple really wanted to release this year, but the stars were not aligned for a spring release. Wall Street and the media following Apple would have freaked out if Apple didn’t update the iPad last spring. So, we got the “New iPad,” now referred to as the iPad 3rd generation, instead.
I think Apple really wanted an A6 chip and better LTE support in the New iPad, but they just were not ready yet. So, with the holiday season approaching and the stars now aligned, why not put your best foot forward and release the iPad with the best features possible right now!
I also think this means we will not get another new iPad next spring and when we do get an iPad next year, the changes will be something more radical than a speed bump.
