As I mentioned in my first article, a lot of the topics for these articles are going to be coming from help requests I receive from coworkers at my school. We take a lot of digital pictures at work, and I have found myself giving mini lessons on iPhoto recently. iPhoto is a great tool for simple editing of photos, emailing photos, and more. (For more iPhoto instructions, please see Nemo’s iPhoto Ten Point Tutorial #1)

Before you can do anything with a photo in iPhoto, you have to get the photos from your digital camera into your iPhoto library. Your library is like a catalog of all your photos. This couldn’t be any easier!

Camera Phone or Digital Camera?

Every time I turn on the television, it seems there is another company advertising a new Cell phone which double duties as a digital camera. Is this something you need in your life?

Digital cameras have changed the way we take pictures. Remember in the old days, about five years ago, when you had a 35MM film camera? You would take it to all the special events, such as a little league game, a wedding, on vacation, or anywhere you wanted to capture the moment. But being a film camera, you were choosy in your picture taking. You did not want to “waste” the film after all!

I love doing product reviews. I like to think, while writing one, that I am actually talking to someone, telling them about the product in question. And as a reviewer, there are some companies whose products I love to review. Hewlett-Packard (HP)is one such company. I have had a long and happy relationship with every HP product I have used and reviewed over the last decade. So it saddens me when, after testing the HP Photosmart 435 digital camera, it came time to write this review.
