Darrin is a long time Apple user, dating back to 1979 when his father purchased an Apple ][+ to help run his printing pre-press business. In 1984 the business purchased their first of many Macs, an original 128k model. Darrin has been a software developer for over 20 years and is currently a Software Development Manager at his day job. But he is still involved in the family business, Fleet Graphics in Dayton, Ohio (www.fleetgraphicsinc.com), which is now focused on wide-format and digital printing. He is also a registered iOS developer and has an app he created for Fleet Graphics published in the iTunes App Store.
I'm a retired professional engineer actively involved in community outreach working with our local educators to help engage our youth in the sciences and mathematics. I enjoy sharing our night sky as an amateur astronomer and volunteer with the Project ASTRO program, the Flandrau Science Center, the Lunar and Planetary Laboratory Kuiper Circle and as a docent with the Planetary Science Institute. I've been a Mac user since 2007.
In addition to writing for MyMac.com since the Fall os 2005 he is a full time art teacher, freelance artist/illustrator, and is a father of one son. Donny's degree is in Visual Communications and he hold certification in K-12 Art Education. His hobbies (besides Mac and Apple stuff) include soccer, animation, and reading anything written by Stephen King.
Elisa is a wife, mother to 3 boys, "creative genius", and all-around techno geek. She enjoys karate, reading, quilting, knitting, coding her husband's business web site, cruising to Caribbean beaches, and learning new things in the technology world. In the evenings Elisa can be found knitting while listening to podcasts or watching Netflix on her iPad.
Guy is a long-time Mac user (since 1987) and insists on inflicting his opinions on technology even when others around him wishes he wouldn't. He's married and the father of two sons. He used to take Tae Kwon Do until the shame of being beaten up by teenagers became too great.
Jackie Richards is a self taught digital artist who uses her computer as a creative tool much the same as she uses her potter's wheel, spinning wheel or jeweler's saw. She began working with computers in the late 70's, writing her own software programs as a personal challenge. Although sometimes setting herself up for failure, she says she gains the most pleasure from attempting something she has never done before. She is a mixed media artist working in ceramics, textiles and as a silversmith. Perhaps the best description of her approach to art is construct, deconstruct, reconstruct. She loves her collections of tools of which her iMac, iBook,IPad and iPhone are an important part.
John Hamilton Farr first met MyMac publisher Tim Robertson at Macworld San Francisco in 2000 and has contributed numerous reviews and articles since then. The author of Taos Soul, Buffalo Lights, and dozens of columns for Horse Fly, a monthly Taos newspaper, he has published online relentlessly since 1997 and currently writes at 7,000 feet from Taos, New Mexico, U.S.A.
John "Nemo" Nemerovski is MyMac's Reviews Editor. He is a personal and group computer tutor in Tucson, Arizona, USA, with an emphasis on basic computing, digital photography, and Photoshop. Nemo is an accomplished music instructor on keyboard and guitar, and an expert artisan bread baker. Larry Grinnell has been a Mac user since before there were Macs, first being exposed to his brother-in-law's Apple Lisa 7/7 office system, in 1982 or 1983.
After a nine year stint in the US Air Force, he took an electronics technician job at Motorola, Inc., where he stayed for almost 27 years. In that time, he held additional diverse positions from manufacturing engineering technician to technical writing to print production consultant to department webmaster.
Currently, he's the sole technical writer for a small communications/electronics firm in Davie, FL. He is a member of the MyMac.com writing staff, and recently completed a two-year stint writing a weekly Macintosh and Apple-oriented column for the Palm Beach Business website (http://www.pbbusiness.com). In his copious free time, he does layout and prepress work for the Grinnell Family Association's quarterly newsletter, and runs their website at http://www.grinnellfamily.org. He also serves on the board of directors for the Palm Beach Phoenix Apple User Group.
His next big assignment is to perform the editing, layout, and prepress work for an all new Grinnell family genealogy, which promises to be roughly 2,000 pages in size. Publication date is tentatively scheduled for late 2012 or early 2013.
He lives in Greenacres, FL. His two cats, Archie and Agnes, grudgingly permit him to share their home with him.
Mark Greentree is the principle blogger and podcast creator of www.everydaymacsupport.com. His aim is to inform users at all levels of experience how to get the most out of the Apple hardware and associated software. He is also the lead host on Not Another Mac Podcast, an Apple based round table discussion with Mac users and experts from all over world.
Writing for MyMac.com since August of 2009, Mike Breed is an Earth Science and Biology teacher at Chenango Valley High School in Binghamton, New York. He is currently acting as the Science Department Chairman in his school district as well. Mike has received numerous grants to incorporate Apple products into the laboratories and activities of his students, with the hopes of adding a new element of learning to the teaching of science in a demanding learning environment.
A lifelong resident of Cortland, New York, Mike enjoys spending time with his family when not busy with his duties at school. An avid fan of the Macintosh platform, Mike also spends a great deal of time reading and working from his iPad and iPhone, where he is reading his way through the entire chronology of Star Wars novels. Mike is also passionate about fishing and enjoys spending time each weekend fishing with his father on the waters of central New York State’s Finger Lakes.
Neale Monks has used Macs since 1990, when he was won over by the simplicity of printing from a networked Mac compared to doing the same thing with networked PCs. Since that time he's written for several Macintosh magazines including Macworld and Macformat as well as MyMac.com, InformIT, Peachpit, TidBITs, and the now-defunct AppleLust web site.
Besides using Macs to make his living every day of the week, he likes to tinker about with vintage Macs, and a few years back wrote an e-book called 'Buying Used Macs' published through MyMac.com.
Neale has a degree in zoology and a PhD in palaeontology. He lives in the market town of Berkhamsted on the edge of the Chiltern Hills.
Owen Rubin was one of the first people to program arcade video games for Atari a long time ago, and designed arcade video games for almost 15 years. He later joined Apple where he worked on both hardware and software projects, and was the key player on the MacLC, bootable CD, several pieces of Mac system software, as well as a contributor to many other CPU projects. He later worked for Pacific Bell to lead the design of services for the first commercial broadband system in the US, and then went on to be the lead researcher of broadband for Paul Allen's Interval Research. Since then, he has been an executive at a number of startups in security and semiconductors, and is currently the CTO of Edison Labs, a startup focusing on helping commercial clients write and develop mobile apps, especially for the iPhone, iPod, and iPad.
Rich Lefko has been a Mac enthusiast for many years and is always seeking out the most innovative applications, Apps, gadgets and hardware to tell us about. He uses his Mac expertise for video editing, record-keeping, business needs and in the management of a weather website (RichLefko.com) his true passion in life. A native New Yorker, Rich lives in New Hampshire with his exceptionally beautiful wife and three perfect sons. Rich joined MyMac.com as a writer after winning a contest he heard on the podcast. Russ Walkowich is the longest contributing member of MyMac, starting back in 1995. He has served as writer, author, editor, and spiritual guide to a tribe of MyMac Founders in all that time.
A former editorial writer for the Arizona Daily Star in Tucson, Sam Negri is the author of three travel book published by Arizona Highways. His articles have appeared in Sunset, Arizona Highways Magazine, the New York Times, the Yale Alumni Magazine, the Los Angeles Times and numerous other publications. He lives in Tucson and directs the Pima County Communications Office.
Scott is a long time Apple enthusiast whose first personally owned computer was the original 128k Macintosh introduced in 1984. He has 20 years of experience working with OS X, Windows, and a variety of flavors of Unix and Linux.

Steve is a computer geek, and he has been for many years. He has studied computer science for 15 years, with a college degree in computer science, a backchelor degree in computer with a minor in mathematics, and a Master degree in computer science. In high school he was initiated to computer on an Apple II, then his parents bought him a Commodore 64, then a Mac Plus. But in computer science, DOS and Windows PC were used mostly, so he switched to the dark side for a while. In 2000 he began doing some photography, then discovered iPhoto which make him come back to the Macintosh in 2002. Since, he became a Mac geek again and he sure won't turn back to the PC.
