Apple's New Remote

I decided to buy Apple's new remote and it arrived the other day. I was really surprised at how much I like the thing. It is much nicer than the old remote. It fits better in the hand, and just has a better feel to it. Plus, the aluminum finish is a real nice touch. It even has a better range than the old remote. At least for me it doesn't have to be so line of site. You still can't use it from another room, but it seems to work better.
I was really surprised at the size of the remote. It is much longer and wider than the old white remote. Since when does Apple release a new model of something and make it bigger? not smaller?
Anyway, if you are one the fence about the new Apple remote, I definitely recommend it. It is now the main remote for my AppeTV.
