Pictures, Pictures, Pictures and more Pictures, including the crown jewel of them
all, Publisher Tim Robertson with Steve Woziak (shown right).
We have posted a wrap-up of day 3 by Tim Robertson which highlights all of Tim and Adam's adventures! It was a very tiring day, but exciting, to say the least! Below are a few highlights from the keynote:
- Your favorite Publisher and Webmaster sat directly behind Steve Wozniak in the 3rd row of the Press Section! We got Tim Robertson's picture taken with him, and will have it online tonight!!!
- Steve began with his normal sales figures and statistics, highlighting iMac and iBook statistics.
- Apple Works 6 was introduced and will ship for $79 next month.
- Steve reinforced Apple's dedication to AirPort, and went on to talk about QuickTime, and Apple's investment in Akamai, which has returned a $1 billion profit.
- The first big announcement of the day was Apple's internet strategy. He highlighed 4 key assets: QuickTime, Mac OS 9, Apple.com, and apples $200 million investement in Earthlink.
- The big announcement of the day, however, was Mac OS X. It's really too good to believe. Some of the highlights include a 12 month rollout strategy, and a completely redesigned user interface, featuring the most modern features you can get. In fact, when Steve called a representative from Microsoft up on stage, he seemed so shocked he was pratically speechless himself!
As you can see, it was a pretty exciting day! For all of you who didn't make it to this year's Expo, don't feel bad! At least you didn't have the adventure that Tim Robertson had!
