Where is Nemo's Memo?
No, you won't find "The Nemo Memo" in its usual place this issue. So, what gives? Well, John and Mike (Wall Writings) Wallinga have been wanting to write a joint article for some time now, and they finally managed to do it! So this month's "The Nemo Memo" has been incorporated into "Wall Writings." Sure, we could have done it the other way around, but Mike owns our back page and we didn't want to pay his 'moving' expenses. :-)

Apple and Market Share
It seems that no matter what Apple does, it just isn't enough. After filing a profit for the first time in several quarters, it turns out that Apple's market share is now down to less then 4%. Guess that we're all going to have to run out and buy new Macs to get the market share up to where the media will finally recognize it as "good news."

Microsoft, DOJ, and Netscape
Well, Microsoft "agrees" to remove its icon off the Windows desktop, settling part of the Department of Justice (DOJ) lawsuit, but not ending it. More to come over Windows 98. Netscape, being hammered by bad press over profit losses and layoffs, then does the unthinkable: it will offer its browser for free, and once Netscape Navigator 5 is out its source code will also be offered at no charge to further development and exploration! Wonder what MS is gonna do to try and top that?
