TappyType v2.0
Freeware

Back in the good 'ol days...
Sure, you have a nice new computer and keyboard. But something just doesn't feel right. Ah, TappyType is just what you've been looking for. Do you want to add that old fashioned typewriter feeling to your computer? Well, here it is...

What are we dealing with?
TappyType makes a "tap" noise in response to ordinary keys, a typewriter space bar noise whenever you press on the spacebar, and a scrolling noise whenever you page up or down. Here's where it really gets cool. When you type the Return or Enter, it makes a bell sound followed by the sound of the carriage moving across. I find this really cool. However, if you get sick of it after a while, you can turn if off. This is a good feature because when you have to get something done, you don't want to be annoyed by that sound every time you press return.

Yes/No?
YES!! I like this program. I don't see how anyone can't...

    Hidden Finder Features 1.0.3 Freeware

    Short and Sweet...

Beginning with System 7.5.2, Apple added a couple of features to the Finder. However, due to inadequate and incomplete testing, they elected not enable them. Here they are:
    1. Control-Drag an item to make an alias to it
    2. Command-R to reveal the original item of an alias
    3. Command-Delete moves selection to the Trash
    4. Enable/Disable the zoom rectangles when opening/closing windows and gridding.
These are just four little features that were already part of the Finder, just not enabled. Hidden Finder Features enables these for you.

    Is it just my computer?

I don't know if it's just my computer or what, but I can't get the first feature (Control-Drag an item to make an alias to it) to work. I don't know.... It's probably just my computer!!! Anyway, this is a fine control panel and all, but c'mon?? Just drag your stuff to the trash. Personally, it took me longer to remember what to do to get the item to the Trash using the Hidden Finder Features control panel than it would have if I just dragged it into the trash....

    Church Windows v2.0
    Shareware: $15.00

Church Windows is a Control Panel, much like that of Kaleidoscope, that allows you to change the appearance of your windows. Church Windows comes with twelve different styles you can set your windows to be like. They are as follows:

  • Windows 3.1
  • Windows 95
  • Silicon Graphics
  • Copland 3D
  • Darth Vader
  • Reversed NeXT
  • NeXT
  • Motif
  • Be
  • OpenWindows
  • System Seven
  • Stretchable Seven

Well, there they are. You can pick anyone of those, and, let me tell ya, they are all nice!!! Church Windows also has some more general features such as making certain operations "sticky", making window growing/dragging smarter, and providing color versions of the standard alert icons.

    My Opinion.

This is a really nice Control Panel. It really makes your Mac more fun to use. Experience the true power of Church Windows and download it at the My Mac Software Library at http://www.mymac.com/software today.
