Adobe Illustrator CS6

Full Version $599
Upgrade $249

I have been using Adobe Illustrator since version 6 and I have tried many other vector drawing programs for reviews at MyMac.com. While some have been good, I have yet to find a vector drawing program better than Illustrator, and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on CS6.

Illustrator CS6 is the 25th anniversary of Illustrator and has been rewritten from the ground up. Don’t worry, it still acts and looks like Illustrator, but it has a lot of new features. The important question is “Should I upgrade?” I answer that later. First, let’s look at the new features.

Almost had another Gaz solo show with no power at Guy’s house for three days, but the power company fixed it just in time! If this had been Guy’s only problem over the last week it would have been no biggie, but this was just the tail end of Guy’s woes and he’s determined to tell you all about it. Gaz sticks to a more normal life (for Gaz anyway), with expensive FaceTime roaming charges, transitioning out of MobileMe, and another great Mac tip for this week.

Big thanks to James Turner for agreeing to step in if Guy couldn’t make it. Find him and all his great WoodPad iOS products at http://www.woodpad.co.uk

The Thule 15″ Crossover Messenger Bag Won’t Disappoint
Company: Thule

Price: $89.95 USD

As a high school science teacher for the past 18 years, I’ve had the opportunity to try out a number of bags to carry the myriad of papers, laptops, iPads, and books back and forth to school each day. I put these bags through their paces and I’ve seen some pretty decent bags and some pretty awful ones too. When Thule sent me their 15″ Crossover Messenger Bag, I could tell right away that it was built with quality and durability in mind. I’ve been using the bag for most of the past school year and it still looks like a brand-new bag.
